New Space, Same Victoria
Well, hopefully not exactly the same. In that I will actually keep up with my newsletters here, and not just once in a blue moon!
Hello readers, storytellers, authors, Mom, and my lurking friends who open these emails thinking I’ve sent them a personal message, only to discover this is, in fact, yet another post and they should just text me instead.
I say this every time, but now that I’ve officially moved my newsletter over to Substack, I hope to be more present On Here and diligent in my updates. I do plan to use this space for both formal newsletters and long form communications, as well as quick updates for you guys - whether it be a flash sale, a tour announcement, or just a little nugget of info I decided to blast out into the world. I do love that you guys can leave comments, so please feel free to leave questions below, or send them to me on my social media platforms so I can start doing Q&A round-ups again!
As some of you may know, I have recently finished (and sold!!!) the proposal for my first adult novel - a standalone romantic fantasy. I can’t say anything specific yet about where we landed, but I have been documenting what I can say about the process. Check out the New Book Goofing playlists on my TikTok and Instagram if you’d like to follow along! I’m also planning a much more in depth run down RIGHT HERE when I can say more - and I’m dying to say more!!!
I leave you with this not-so-subtle hint from my research trip to the Bahamas:
I leave you with one of said nuggets of random info - please do not buy or sell fanfiction. I’m starting to see accounts selling physical copies of fanfiction, which is not only Against The Rules, but incredibly disrespectful to all creators, especially writers of fanfiction themselves and the writers of the original works. This is also how we LOSE access to fanfiction. As a big fanfiction supporter myself, I would be heartbroken to see this community disappear because of a few greedy souls. Please join me and many others in calling out this practice where you see it, and supporting the creators you love.
Cheers,
Victoria
